“Blue Toy” è l’ultimo cd del trio di Andrea Pozza . Quest’anno con un’ospite di eccezione, Byron Landham (drums), grande batterista americano, Aldo Zunino (bass) e con la partecipazione di Mila Ogliastro (vocal).
“Blue Toy” una serie di composizioni originali di Andrea Pozza affiancate ad alcuni standards della tradizione jazzistica.

“Andrea Pozza is a dear friend of mine. That friendship started with us sharing the universal language of Jazz. He speaks it very well. My Italian agent Giulio Vannini put us together for some duo performances several years ago. This collaboration resulted in a live duo recording in Modena yet to be released. During that performance/recording I was introduced to the wonderful vocalist Mila Ogliastro.
Besides dealing with the dialect and the language, Mila interpreted song from the American Song Book with ease, beauty, and grace.
This brings me to this project. Andrea is a master of the piano, a prodigy that started at a very young age and has continued to grow and evolve. Andrea doesn’t play any unnecessary notes. Each note he plays has meaning. He is a master accompanist and a compelling soloist. We have done many duo gigs since our first encounter and he a joy to play with. His sensibilities are second to none. He swings!
I look forward to the next time we perform together and also wishing him and Mila much success and love for this release. I KNOW that when you hear this that you will agree that this something special. I am proud for Andrea for what he means to Italian Jazz and to the world of jazz globally. Jazz is a world music and Andrea Pozza is at the top.”
